Clinical Focus:

  • Patient management during the period before, during, and after surgery.
  • Preventing, alleviating pain, and managing medical emergencies using various anesthetic and emergency medications.
  • Monitoring, supporting, and maintaining the functions of vital organs of patients in a safe condition throughout the perioperative period including in the Intensive Care Unit and High Care Unit.
  • Assessing patients to determine the suitability of anesthesia procedures, anesthesia risks, and types of anesthesia.
  • Monitoring and maintaining vital organs during surgery.

Clinical Procedures:

  • Administration of anesthesia (anesthetization), intensive care medicine, emergency medicine, and pain management.
  • Management of major trauma, resuscitation, airway management, and managing patients outside the operating room experiencing life-threatening emergencies.
  • Management of cardiac arrest and rapid response medical teams, immediately called upon when a patient's heart stops beating or when a patient deteriorates acutely.
  • Patient management in the Intensive Care Unit and High Care Unit.
